annual events

Annually re-occurring events are like Christmas or our birthday. They mainly remind us that we are always one year older, but also put barriers in our time, like little hicups, that we have to overpass one way or the other. I like very much that New Year dates do not coincide all over the world; that gives some breathing space and breaks the linear depiction of life: beginning-middle-end. If the same year can start three and four times with a distance of a couple of weeks, then there: my second and third and fourth chance is in front of me waiting, a little bit like the ‘groundhog day syndrome’. Besides, chances do not come dressed up with just one suit. They are playful like actors and change costumes each time they re-appear. Just have to stay myself as playful as they are!
